About

SEASONAL COOKING, Ages 5- 15  Day To Be Determined 

Our new edible schoolyard has a lot growing this summer with hopes we will have a lot to use for this cooking class! Yes, of course the garden is organic. 

A little more about the garden from where some of the produce will be used from.

This is a No till, permaculture, companion style, heirloom, culinary & medicinal herbs, lots of vertical with more coming, pollinator, organic garden. I probably forgot a few other things. The kids learned a lot in our previous garden, and will have many more opportunities for this new, much larger space. Lot's of perennials are getting started or transplanted from the previous space to have earlier plant food and medicine in the season. This is one of Ms Crista's passions, and hopes to have many gardening methods to teach the kids, and use over time.

Learning & improving cooking skills and experiences with seasonal, fresh and natural ingredients. Making and tasting some incredible cooking delights! We will use sourdough, make water kefir, practice cooking & flipping farm fresh eggs, chimichurri grilled cheese, and cooking with fresh herbs and garden produce. Sourcing from the farm here, local gardens, farm and farmers market with raw, fresh, and organic as we can source items. We will cook and eat dairy, egg. nuts and meats, using whole grain and or sourdough with gluten free options (please discuss )  Sweeteners will be honey, maple syrup or xylitol. If any dyes are used they will be natural plant based dyes.

Clean, organic and or natural ingredients creating a culinary tasty learning experience.
