Registration Form

The registrtion form is needed for each class you sign up for. You can sign up for several classes at once, but each class needs a registration attached for enrollment. If you sign up another child or at a different time for an additional class, please do another registration form.

Refund Policy

Deposits for Class are required to enroll or pay the full amount to register you child in a class. Deposits are not refundable. Please consider carefully before you pay if this class is an appropriate fit per description, tour, discussion, days and times, age or readiness of your child and all other factors that apply to you and your family. Summer Day Camps are not refundable or transferable. Class Fees - Registration Fees : Half the class fee, minus deposit and fee of 10% The Class registration fee after deposit can be refundable if before 75 days before the first day of class. After 74 days : Your registration fee is not refundable, but we can do a half class fee credit toward a school year class. We can discuss a partial credit toward a school year class. I am happy to work with you if you have a medical emergency to offer a portion of credit for the class. Please reach out. PAYMENTS & CLASS DEPOSITS: The policy for 2022-2023 School year and hear after: Your class is held when you make a deposit or full payment. Your spot in a class is not held by filling out this registration form, or the waiver, or an email or text etc. It is only held with your payment in class, a deposit or full payment. We anticipate classes to fill. Spots fill on a first come, first-serve basis. If you hold the class with a deposit: please pay the remainder asap and 2 weeks before the class begins. Those that pay early, will tend to have preference if there is a waiting list. We are happy to work with you. However please understand you hold a spot in class once you register and this can effect flow and another child to be unable to attend if you do not fulfill your registration & can make it difficult to fill this spot, and add extra administrative time to try to fill the class spot. When a class is full, families make other choices for the class to ensure they have a class for their child.

Class Cancellations

CANCELLATIONS: WE RARELY CANCEL DUE TO WEATHER. However we cannot control the weather, and need to work with the weather that comes, for as long as it comes. WE ARE AN ALL-YEAR ROUND PROGRAM : RAIN, SNOW, WIND, HEAT : IF WE DO NEED TO CANCEL : We will cancel if needful if severe weather advisories effect us during class, here on our campus, and are a safety concern. Please remember weather advisories are not innately dangerous, apply to us here on campus or effect us during the specific class times, and often change. You may decide to not send your child to class because of the weather or any other reason, we encourage you to do what you feel comfortable & needful for your family. However we do not make-up your class if you cancel, except under our make-up policy. We do appreciate letting us know when your child will not attend. OTHER REASONS WE MIGHT NEED TO CANCEL: EMERGENCY, OTHER CAMPUS EMERGENCY OR NEEDS HOW YOU WILL KNOW IF CLASS IS CANCELLED? We will post on social media, the website, and on the Explorers Outdoor School phone message: you call to hear the message and it will say what class is cancelled We will try to post A sign outside on the gate will also say "CLASS CANCELED." We will post on the Parent's Private Page if we have enough time and notice. We will text or email if we have enough time. Emails aren't found to be effective to the whole in part due to travel time & checking messages. However we will try to text or email. We may not have a lot of lead time to let you know before you leave your home, but we certainly will make every effort. If a severe weather advisory is in place : Please check the above, then you may text the morning of your child's class.

Make-Up Classes - Non Ranger Classes

SUMMER PROGRAMS & SEASONAL CLASSES & CAMPS LIKE WINTER CAMPS : DO NOT OFFER MAKE-UPS MAKE-UP CLASSES FOR SCHOOL YEAR CLASSES EXPLORERS, , FOREST DAYS and OTHER SESSION CLASSES: YOU MAY MAKE-UP ONE CLASS PER SESSION IF THERE IS SPACE IN ANOTHER CLASS (NON-RANGERS - NON- WILDS) WITH AGES THAT APPLY WITHIN THE SAME SESSION. WE CANNOT GARAUNTEE A MAKE-UP. WE DO NOT OFFER A REFUND FOR CLASSES MISSED. WE DO NEED YOU TO REACH OUT AND ASK. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMODATE.

MAKE-UP POLICY RANGER CLASSES & WOODLAND WILDS

Rangers Classes do not offer make ups. Starting Class after the start date: Prorated amounts can be offered if agreed upon, and your child's start date is after the first days of class. We do not offer price breaks for missed days. Each class is unique and has it's own rhythms, friendships and flow and content. Offering makeups would have frequent changes in dynamics with many children "coming and going." My effort for Rangers is for each class to have it's own special flow, and the children can know what to expect with the constant of their own class, the children they are getting to build relationships with, settling in with their own flow and dynamics. This helps children resolve anxieties of the unknown and relax, learn and enjoy. It's understandable you may need to miss a class. We do have off weeks throughout the semester to help you plan in down days, or out of town days. We do not offer a refund for missed days. When available I will on occasion try to offer a makeup for Rangers, but there is no guarantee. The make-up will not be a Ranger class, but usually in Explorers as this does not disrupt the flow of the class as it does in Rangers. Woodland Wilds does not offer makeup days, credits or a price-break for missed days.

Dress for the weather and the Class Activity

Be prepared to dress your child for all the elements (rain, snow or heat). Know that your child will probably get dirty. We embrace the whole child, hands on holistic learning and celebrating engaged play and activities. This includes getting dirty or wet. Please send them in clothing they can get dirty or wet in comfortably. A child concerned about their newer or special shoes, favorite shirt etc will hold back from activities to keep their clothing clean. Kids need that approval from their parent that being here means we fully engage in learning & activities, and their clothing does not hold them back and is ok to get dirty. Please send them in clothing that can get dirty or stained, and let your children know. Hands on learning can be messy, creative, engaging and that can mean dirty clothes. We are an all-weather school (rain or shine or snow) and run every month of the year. We strive to run our programs whenever conditions are deemed to be safe for running programs on our outdoor campus. We will only cancel class for severe/inclement weather or unhealthy air conditions. We do not cancel for rain or snow and you will not receive a refund/credit if you do not attend class and Explorers Outdoor School has not canceled class. If we do cancel class, we will reschedule a class, and will not give a refund. Send spare clothing when seems appropriate. Send child in layers to adjust to weather & activates. Put in extra bag or backpack. Weather can fluctuate during the day. Send clothing to consider these fluctuates of weather or temperature. A child that is wet when it's cold, not dressed warm enough or too warm with no option to layer up warm enough or dress down as it warms up, is uncomfortable and and will effect their experience, their enjoyment and will inhibit both their engagement, their take away experience and can effect them getting sick. Please carefully consider head to toe clothing needs for the specific day they are in class with back-ups. We support children learning to remember their warm clothes (for instance) as "part of the lesson." However this can effect both their health at times, making them suspectable to getting sick and can effect weather they want to attend the next class, not able at times to express why or overwhelmed with a negative association from their very unpleasant experience being too cold. Please help their experience in whatever way that works with your family and circumstance, to ensure they are dressed properly for the fluctuations of the day's temperatures and conditions. We support "there is no bad weather, just bad clothing" this includes ensuring you send your kids in the clothes and shoes that they can love their experience.

Enrolling Multiple Children

ENROLLING MULTIPLE CHILDREN Thank you for coming to us with your children! You will find discounts for multiple children or multiple Ranger days at registration. There is not always a discount for this. If there is not a discount listed, and you have paid the deposit, committing to the class, you can reach out to see if a discount is available. Sometimes discounts are offered with multiple children & days. If offered they will need to be paid by cash or Venmo, and paid in full before class begins. Discounts won't be a lot but we know every little bit can count. We do not offer discounts with a deferred payment program. Please reach out by email.

Charter Funds

CHARTER FUNDS : We work regularly with families that use charter funds to reimburse themselves for classes. We are happy to work with you. In order to wait on class payment, we need you to register with the class deposit first. In the notes when registering please indicate what charter you are with and that you would like to make a payment arrangement. We can work out the arrangements from there. We will need payment within the agreed timeframe, or you will need to pay for the class in full. We do encourage you to pay in full and reimburse yourself with the charter funds. We have a Deferred Payment Agreement Form for you to fill out if you would like to make arrangements, please email directly with details of which class, your charter, children etc There is an additional fee for the deferred program with the extra administrative time.

Individual Concerns or Needs

Please list or discuss any concerns to keep him/her safe, like but not limited to: extra guidance staying with the class, impulse control, allergies, need to bring an epi pen or any other concerns to keep the child safe and engaged in class that effect your child, and the other children in class including any special considerations or individual assurances or guidance needed including excessive shyness. We want to help your child have the best experience. We need to be informed in order to do this. We have a variety of classes and can see which class would work best. Let us know if your child needs an aid that you will be providing to see what class might fit well for safety and engagement. Please talk with us to find the class that will work best. Please consider the environment as a farm outdoor environment with animals. We want all to be safe and have an enriching experience. There is room for this in the waiver also.
