Chess Club
in the clubhouse
Mondays 3:00-4:00 Ages 7 - 16
Session 3 First Day February 9

age exceptions for children that are ready to stay focused on chess the duration of class, & ready to learn the concepts- reach out please
Extended Time Option below 3:00-4:00 Chess then 30 minutes with Forest Day or Free Time Outside
Meet in the waiting area in the front by the Blue Rooster & Big Foot
This is the drop-off & pick-up spot
Chess Club
Groups will work with comparable skill levels for matches
Core Focus: Introduction to chess introducing new pieces each match
Once players are using the full board, begin teaching openers
Starting with smaller lessons then 2 matches in the hour
Moving to matches with recording piece movement, to review how to change strategy in key movements for the loosing players, then "defeated players" play defeated players for 2nd match
while winner moves moves on to 2nd match playing winners

Filling out a registration form is required to attend class and must be done before the first day of class. Please keep in mind that filling out this form does not reserve a spot for your child. Only placing a deposit or paying for the class in full reserves/holds their spot in class.
