                    Herbal First Aid Kit 

 

                                                       You can sign up for 1 or all 3 classes.

          This is a 3 class series- you can jump in at any point - this does not need to be taken in order & can be a stand alone class.     

                                                                       1 Class $75   3 Classes Package $150  

This 3 Class series- take one or do the bundle for all 3 -

 Created to help you build up your knowledge & your supply family first aid kit. We will make salves & remedies for insect bites & stings, splinters, cuts, scrapes & stop minor bleeding, burns and more.

Working with seasonal rhythms  when plants are fresh and abundant: scheduled dates for this class will determine some of the subject matter & which remedies (and herbs) will be used & available.

PAYMENTS: VENMO @CRISTA-LEGG no refunds    Class transfer if 4 weeks notice & an applicable class is available & instructor has agreed to transfer class funds from one to another.

Many classes have a 2 month advance preparation, seats are high preparation & created for you well in advance. We apologize if you cannot make the class. 

Learning to Preserve Foods with Canning 

               Making & Canning 
   Apricot Jam or Berry Jam               August 3 9:30-12:30  $85

 

 I will provide apricots or berries 1 pint jar & supplies.           

We will learn how to water bath can & prepare the jam together from start to finish.

Taking home your own delicious fruity jam! This will be a low sugar -cane sugar recipe. 

You will bring home two  1 pint jars of jam we made in class. 

Want to bring home more? Just bring more fruit & jars we can help each other make more, as time allows.

You will bring home the jam from the fruit you brought. 

This class is in an outdoor environment with everything we need to make some outstanding fresh tasting  jams!

The kind of berries are determined by what's available at the time for class. Let me know if you'd prefer berries or apricots. I will look for no-spray & organic, as the price & availability allows.

You are welcome to bring your own for $10 off the class price. Please let me know. Fresh fruit by nature won't last long and must be purchased right before class.

 

Class might run over the 3 hour time-frame. We will work until we are finished! 

Kids are ok to bring, but you will need to keep an eye on them. Adults will be doing the class.

If you don't like strawberry rhubarb but want to make this class let me know. I will look for other fruit in season that will fit with the class.
