SEASONAL COOKING, Ages 5- 15 Thursdays 9:15-12:00
Learning & improving cooking skills and experiences with seasonal, fresh and natural ingredients. Making and tasting some incredible cooking delights! We will use sourdough, make water kefir, practice cooking & flipping farm fresh eggs, chimichurri grilled cheese, and cooking with fresh herbs and garden produce. Sourcing from the farm here, local gardens, farm and farmers market with raw, fresh, and organic as we can source items. We will cook and eat dairy, egg. nuts and meats, using whole grain and or sourdough with gluten free options (please discuss ) Sweeteners will be honey, maple syrup or xylitol. If any dyes are used they will be natural plant based dyes.
Clean, organic and or natural ingredients creating a culinary tasty learning experience.
This class is at an outdoor school, and will be outside primarily. Assume each class is entirely outside. We do have some cover.
Dress for the weather.
Bring a water bottle and a lunch or snack. Apron is encouraged.
