RANGERS 3: AGES 13 - 15              

Wednesdays 9:00-12:00 

(full day options: Add Science & Geography - hands on learning)  

THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR THE DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES OF THE TRANSITIONAL YEARS. 

Semester 2 will include thymically: depending on the weather & upon interest 

NATURAL SCIENCE -    WHITTLING   COOKING    HERBAL Projects 

  WORKING ON THE GARDEN- EDIBLE SCHOOL YARD PREPPING & PLANTING 

 

RANGERS PROGRAM RUNS BY SEMESTER FOR CONTINUITY, ROUTINE & STRONG FRIENDSHIP BUILDING.

WE ENGAGE & LEARN THROUGH MOVEMENT & WHOLISTIC HANDS-ON LEARNING.  

THIS AGE WANTS TO BE CHALLENGED AND WE WORK WITH THIS DEEP NEED TO LEARN & GROW. WE LEARN GENTLY, & POSITIVELY. WE WORK WITH POSITIVE SELF TALK, AS WELL AS ENCOURAGING OTHERS AND BUILDING ONE ANOTHER UP.

Now more like the Wilder Class : Fire-Building -  Working on Gourd bowls, knapping stone to make arrowheads, arrowbuilding, shelter building, cooking, and working on garden projects making a weaved fencing or container and planting, working on animal fencing ( and some farm animal exposure) and art projects and archery ( when the weather is warmer ) 

 

WE LEARN RHYTHMICALLY WITH THE SEASONS, AND STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT. WE FOUNDATIONALLY LEARN – HOW TO LOVE TO LEARN  IN A COMFORTABLE & ENGAGING ENVIRONMENT. OUR SPACES INCLUDE GARDENS, PLACES TO BUILD FORTS IN OUR LITTLE WOODS & FARMYARD, A SEASONAL STREAM AND POND. WE LEARN ASIDE AT TIMES A LAMB GRAZING, INQUISITIVE MINIATURE GOAT, AND OTHER FARM ANIMALS THAT WE CAN OBSERVE AND PET. ANIMALS BRING A CALM TO MANY CHILDREN & EXPAND THEIR EXPERIENCES AND EXPOSURES. SOMETIMES THEY BECOME THE LESSON.

WE LEARN CONCEPTS LIKE ENGINEERING, TEAMWORK & A SENSE OF SPATIAL AWARENESS WITH FORT BUILDING. WE BALANCE & DEVELOP OUR VESTIBULAR SENSES HELPING CONCENTRATION & LEARNING. WE ALSO LEARN WITH GAMES, MOVEMENT  TO LEARN WITH THE  WHOLE CHILD, WE CHALLENGE OURSELVES & WORK TOGETHER WITH GROUP PROJECTS.

 

OUR PROGRAM INCLUDES UNITS OF NATURAL SCIENCE, LITERATURE, NATURAL JOURNALING, ART,  WE ALSO INCLUDE SEASONAL  FIRE BUILDING, WHITTLING, NATURE ART, COOKING AND EDIBLE SCHOOLYARD EDUCATION (COOKING AND EATING FROM THE GARDEN).

WE ENJOY SPECIAL DAYS TOO, LIKE BIRTHDAYS & HOLIDAYS TO ADD A SPECIAL & EXCITING ELEMENT FOR DEEPING IMPORTANT EVENTS  & MEMORIES. 

 

RANGERS IS DESIGNED FOR FORWARD LEARNING, CREATING FRIENDSHIPS, FEELING COMFORTABLE IN OUR NATURAL SPACES & WITH THEMSELVES. WE TREAT OTHERS WITH KINDNESS & EMPHASIZE EMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING ONE ANOTHER. WE WORK TOGETHER WITH POSITIVE CONFLICT RESOLUTION & UNDERSTANDING OURSELVES & OTHERS.

Semester 2 : Electronics : more description coming 

How does electricity work? 

Hands on projects 

Geography : work on making a world map, elevations, regional rivers, mountain ranges and more 

This class includes hands on learning

Science experiments 

Semester 1 : Physical Sciences includes : mass, matter, force, energy, sound, light, color, electricity, magnetism, and mechanics. We will cover some of these topics and gauge the interest of the class on which ones we engage and dive into. 

Geography & art go beautifully together. Still determining the topics we'll cover in geography. Updates will be posted soon.

You can use your funds for these classes

We do not teach evolution or creation,  faith based topics, political leanings, or common sensitive social topics. We respectfully leave this to you and your family.

Deposit

  • Deposit price is $150

  • All Deposits are non-refundable

  • After paying this you will pay the balance before the start of class

  • There will be a $15 admin fee added onto the Balance - to avoid this you will need to pay amount in full, upfront

  • By paying a deposit you are not eligible for Early Bird pricing (EB prices are only available when you pay the full amount upfront)

  • Amount due now: $150

Balance

  • Balance price: $340

  • This amount includes a $15 admin fee (to avoid this fee, pay the amount in full upfront)

  • If you do not pay the balance before October 25th, there will be a $25 late fee added onto the balance

  • The balance is due before the first day of class. If you need special accommodation please email Ms Crista

  • Amount due now: $340

Early Bird Price

  • Early Bird price is $425

  • This price is only available until June 30th 

  •  After that date Early Bird pricing will end and the price will be $475.

  • $475 is the regular price for semester 1 2024

  • If you have paid a deposit for this semester already, you are not eligible for early bird pricing.

  • Regular Price (Non Early Bird) beginning July 1 $475   

  • If you are waiting for your charter please put a deposit down to hold your child's place. The early bird is only available with a full payment by June 30th

  • If you have 2 or more children enrolling in Rangers, there is a sibling discount, please reach out for details. Early bird dates still apply.
