Machine Sewing - Hand sewing Embroidery & Knitting Options

Your child or teen will be able to steer how they would like to use their time according to the skill they want to learn, and the projects they'd like to work on & complete. During any class they can work on one project, or jump around to a machine sewing project like, then work on some handwork, including embroidery handwork, then spend some time knitting or learning to knit or finger knitting. If crochet works better for them, they can crochet. Lot's of options.

Everyone will learn to thread a needle, sew on a button &  do a basic mend. If they already know how, they can then help teach these skills. 

The student does need to be interested in the class, and be ready for finer work, without frequent breaks. While the class may go outside for a break or two, most of the class is inside the classroom focused on projects.
This class is an open age class, for girls, boys, and teens.

Sewing is a very useful lifetime skill to learn! Sewing and knitting can be social activities too, as they sew and chat as in bygone days.
These skills are still valuable with the time to connect with busy working hands is a valuable skill with many rewards.

Please Bring to the First Class 
Bring a half yard of cotton or cotton blend material to the first class for an apron or pillowcase.
This is the starter machine sewing project.
If they are experienced they will work through this quickly & can move on.  
Please prewash & fold.
If you have specific color of thread, please bring thread.
We provide sewing machines  knitting needles & yarn  embroidery material  and some handwork materials 
You have the option to bring your own materials 
Reach out for specifics needed 

bring a lunch and water bottle to each class & clothing to stay warm and dry for any outside breaks
We have some adorable projects for you to make in this class!A softie.....What's a softie you ask? It's a material stuffed cutie like the little bear in the photo above. We will have a few choices of things to hand sew for an adorable animal or creature to bring home. Cute woodland candles, felt projects like the snail, hand stitching (embroidery) too! Bring your snacks and get ready to make some friends!We will have  time in the mud kitchen, or other time to enjoy! 

SOME DETAILS:PAYMENT HOLDS YOUR CHILD'S SPOT - THERE IS ROOM UNTIL IT IS MARKED FULL We will meet in the waiting area by the parking lot with the big play structure & blue rooster. Please wait here. To enroll in this class, pay the deposit ( and the rest before the 1st day of camp) or the full class price now. Payment holds your child's place in class. Next fill out the registration & the waiver - 2 separate forms. As you fill them out, pause then submit. This helps to have less errors for the form to not go through.
