Wilding

2 Kids  & 1 parent/adult

Spring Session 2026

This is a parent & child/teen class

A parent or adult attends with their child/teen or children.

Your own children under 3 years old for this class is free.

This class does not have make-up classes. If you need to miss several classes, are have paid the full amount, I can offer a credit toward another class or summer camps. This will be a partial credit.

Bring a snack & water filled water bottle. We eat in a designated area, at a picnic table.

Please keep your child/children at the table when eating and not walk around. Food and wrappers tend to get dropped or forgotten. Food and wrappers can be eaten by an animal here and not healthy for them. It can also attract rodents or other animals that can cause issues. and it creates a less attractive environment, creating extra work to clean up, as wind blows it around and the parent may not see the food garbage, but creates more work to clean up and stay on top of.

Pack it In - Pack It Out

Bring your garbage, wrappers, food waste, diapers home with you, attracting animals to get into the garbage cans.

Stay with the class in the general area please and encourage your child/children to participate, listen to instructions, help clean up and put things away as this is all part of the class.

Keep items from class in their area ie tools or projects etc. and not walk around with items

Please help put tools and items away when finished.

All items including nature stay here, unless it is a take home project. Helping kids to know this before class begins, and or during class from the start helps any attachment or expectation.

Like " I found this stick, it's mine. " The same concept as in many natural places; if several people took a stick each day, we would run out of sticks for kids to play with or use, and effects the aesthetic or inability to enjoy them or use them another day, or another class time.

Help your kids know, what is here stays here. Feathers, sticks, rocks, plants, flowers, frogs etc

if we make a project in class, intended to go home, those items can of course go home. However some projects do need to wait to go home like pottery or items that need to dry or part of an ongoing project that takes  a few weeks.

We have a tipi if we need to use. However the children generally do not want to stay in long. Dressing and being prepared for the weather helps the you and the class as a whole.

If a child or parent is not prepared for cold weather for example, it will lessen your enjoyment and can be inhibiting to participate in class.

A very helpful practice is to have an outdoor school duffle bag with all the just in case clothing already prepared and stays in your car.  Just in case for colder than you thought or the weather forecast said, for snow, and cold wind, for rain. Cotton outer layers soak up water, get cold quickly, and stay cold. Wool and layers intended to stay dry and warm are best.

Bring layered clothing. March can be winter weather or have big fluctuations in weather with wind adding to the need for layering. Wearing snow clothes head to toe is recommended in many instances as we warm up. Spring weather springs all over, being prepared will help the experience.  Wind can start up and be colder than predicted. This is recommended for children and adults. Kids run around to get warm, adults generally do not. The class is more enjoyable when all are warm, and can stay the duration of class.

Consider weather; it can  snow, hail or rain for clothing to keep you and your children dry and warm. We rarely cancel. If we do it is likely due to very high winds. If we cancel we will make-up a class or credit the one class. If we cancel we will put on social media, voicemail, on the website and will try to reach out. You can reach out, best by text.

If you do not come to class, there are not makeups available. It is appreciated to receive a text if you will be late, or will not attend.

We meet in the waiting area, by the Big Foot, Blue Rooster & Playhouse fenced area by the parking lot. We meet here, and leader Crista Legg will meet you here.

Please put your child's name and ages in the notes when you check out
