Herbal studies will include medicinal plants and foods to help immunities with a focus on winter ailments and prevention. Foods that are highly nutritious & beneficial for the family. We'll taste and prepare, and play games to help us learn and remember. 

You will need to send each child with a clean pint or larger jar with a fitted lid each week to bring home our goodies from class.

We will prepare and cook some wintery soups that will be nutritious and warm us up. Popcorn is a favorite too. Hygge handwork and crafts in the tipi or outside depending on the weather and the activity and farm chores will be our building blocks of the day, along with stories to help us learn,  time to play & socialize.

Bring a lunch and snack, a water bottle each class. 

Kids need to dress in layers, in snow clothes ( snow pants and layered on top under a winter coat)  boots, gloves and hat, even when we do not have snow. These clothes are made to keep them warm and dry. Please send a beanie (do not rely on a hood from a jacket) and non- cotton gloves. 

LITERATURE – SCIENCE – HANDS ON – ART – FARM WORK – LAST PART OF THE DAY IS MORE OPEN WITH TIME FOR CHILD LED TIME LIKE FORT BUILDING, IMAGINATIVE PLAY & GAMES. THE ABOVE PROJECTS & ACTIVITIES TIME DISPURSMENT WILL BE BASED ON CLASS ENGAGEMENT, AGES & READINESS.
