About

 Science & Ancient History

Ages 5-11 

Science will be in unit study in Astronomy for most of semester 2 (and if we have time a section on biomes and habitats)! We learn hands on here, with projects and activities to deepen & enrich learning. 

We'll study our solar system: sun & moon, planets orbits and rotations. Space exploration, constellations, spacecraft, astronauts & gravity. Activities like planet model, constellation drawing, moon phases, space themed activities & activity  to encourage stargazing at home. Curiosity-driven approach to foster a sense of wonder & excitement about the universe.

Ancient History: we will start off where we left off in semester 1 ancient history class

 moving forward listening to stories to help the past come alive. There is no need to have been in semester 1, & it's not a repeat of information for those continuing on. History is fantasticating & memorable with stories and hands on projects! 

We will learn about Ancient India, China, the fall of Rome then onto Mayans & the Aztecs and more. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
